Actor Brian Cox has said he loves discovering other countries versions of the Forfar bridie when he travels around the world.
Since leaving Scotland to live in both London and the US, Cox said native Scottish foods, and celebrations that go with them, have become more important to him. “Clootie dumplings, Forfar bridies, haggis, mince and tatties were meals for all. Maybe vegetables and fruit if you had your own garden patch.
