A key statistic in the Covid-19 pandemic in the Western Cape has begun to show a downward trend.
On Tuesday, active confirmed cases in the province were 15,160, with an average daily decline of 47 cases over the past 14 days.TimesLIVEOther statistics are also showing encouraging trends in the Western Cape, including the rate at which the number of infections doubles. The provincial doubling rate is 31 days, compared with 14 days for the whole country.
And 78% of people diagnosed with Covid-19 in the Western Cape have recovered, compared with 48% nationally.
