ActionSA’s council caucus leader, Jackie Mathabathe, said the party has resolved to quit the DA-led coalition and 19 of its councillors will be voting with the ANC to remove Brink as mayor.

TSHWANE - ActionSA's Gauteng leadership said it had not left the governing coalition in Tshwane despite some of its councillors suggesting otherwise.

The party's council caucus leader, Jackie Mathabathe, said it had resolved to quit the Democratic Alliance -led coalition and 19 of its councillors would be voting with the African National Congress to remove Mayor Cilliers Brink.But ActionSA Gauteng leader Funzi Ngobeni said there’s currently a review process that they’re doing before any decision can be made.

"Once this review process has been concluded, ActionSA will be in a position to communicate our position in the City of Tshwane. We remain committed to our strategic priorities, which includes insourcing, inner-city rejuvenation and immigration, as well as improved service delivery for all residents of the City of Tshwane.
