One animator involved with SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse is teasing the sequel's innovative and ground breaking visuals 'I think it's going to be a movie where people in the animation community are going to be like, 'How the hell did they do that?''
A Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse senior animator teases just how amazing the film's visual effects will be. After the death of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Miles Morales has to work with other Spider-Men as he desperately tries to save multiple different universes. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will follow the next leg of the journey of Miles Morales through the multiverse as he works to get a better handle on his newfound powers alongside Peter B.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY One factor that made the original so memorable was its animation style, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's animation looks to top it. Borrowing from comic book aesthetics, the sequel will once again lean into different styles for each multiversal character.
"On the animation community, I think for certain. I think it's going to be a movie where people in the animation community are going to be like, 'How the hell did they do that? That's so exciting.' But we'll see. I hope it has the same effect as the first movie. Yeah, we'll see. I'm very very intrigued to see how people are going to receive the movie.
The story of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be split into two different movies with the second part arriving on March 29, 2024. So, while the film may be putting Miles in devastating situations, they won't be easily resolved anytime soon.
Of course, while hundreds of spiders can be a shocking amount, most will likely be relegated to cameos. With just under two hours of runtime, there won't be enough space to really explore the nuances between each character. Since Miles needs enough time to tell his own story, while also needing time to come to understand the project's villain and the six different universes he will encounter, minor cameos should be the maximum expectation.
