ACDP leader, Kenneth Meshoe says the party does not want citizens to live in fear.

African Christian Democratic Party leader Kenneth Meshoe arrives for party’s election manifesto in Johannesburg on March 9, 2024.

He spoke to SABC News ahead of the party’s election manifesto launch, which is underway in Johannesburg. The party will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary. He says, “We don’t want citizens who live in fear, citizens who cannot enjoy walking in the streets because of fear that they will be violated.

Meshoe says parties that did not get enough signatures on time should not blame the Independent Electoral Commission “Even when we started from the beginning, when we were given time to submit, ACDP did that timely. Now the problem would be if you don’t have enough people who support you, then it becomes a struggle to find the required numbers of signatures.
