Accused number two in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial Bongani Ntanzi has denied knowing singer Kelly Khumalo .Meyiwa’s former girlfriend Khumalo as the alleged mastermind behind the contract killing.
Ntanzi and four other accused are on trial at the High Court in Pretoria for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain. Addressing lead investigator Bongani Gininda, defence counsel Sipho Ramosepele says Ntanzi will also tell the court that he doesn’t know some of his co -accused as alleged in the confession.
Ramosepele says, “Accused number 2 will deny that he personally knows Kelly Khumalo and does not know who ordered and who paid for the contract killing, if it was a contractual killing or if it was a robbery gone bad. He does not know any of these details.” Gininda responds, “But what’s contained in his statement, he does say he doesn’t know her. But he is aware that the contractual order of the killing of the deceased came from Miss Kelly Khumalo. So, to say he doesn’t know her, I don’t have evidence that proves that he doesn’t know her, so I agree with that part.”
