The truck was found crashed nearby, and the driver and a passenger fled on foot
. Detectives say the owner of the pickup, who runs an Abbotsford business, has not been co-operating with the investigation.
Abbotsford police Sgt. Paul Walker said investigators “believe both men had been attending a party in the area before the collision.” Abbotsford resident Marc Ellis, 38, was killed on Dec. 11, 2022, when he was struck by a 2019 red Dodge Ram pickup truck while Ellis was trying to rescue a dog running on the road in the 3600-block of Lefeuvre Road.“We’re appealing to anyone at this party to come forward and speak to the police,” said Walker in a release.
On Monday, police released video of the Dodge before the crash and of the two occupants fleeing, and are appealing for anyone with information to call 604-859-5225.Article content
