A24’s wrestling drama The Iron Claw reveals a new look and a wide release date.
What’s the Iron Claw About?
According to an official synopsis, The Iron Claw “charts the rise and fall of the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day.” Efron plays Kevin Von Erich while White portrays Kerry Von Erich. Harris Dickinson plays David Von Erich, Holt McCallany plays Fritz Von Erich, and Maura Tierney appears as the family’s matriarch Doris. Lily James plays Kevin’s wife Pam. AEW star MJF also has a role as Lance Von Erich.
Durkin, who previously directed Martha Marcy May Marlene and recently helmed three episodes of the Prime Video series Dead Ringers also wrote the script for The Iron Claw. It’s produced by Tessa Ross, Juliette Howell, Angus Lamont from House Productions, Durkin, and A24.
