Under the direction of first-year coach Tony Benedetto, Plano East will play for its first 4-0 start since its last playoff season on Friday at Plano.

But, for Plano East at least, it’s a key component of the team’s culture — something so many coaches put on a pedestal, and something thatIt’s funny that Oliver mentioned the playoffs, because Plano East is already off to its best start since 2018, the last season that it qualified for the postseason.“We’ve never, ever experienced [music],” Oliver said.
He also liked the prospect of coaching a team that had won just three games in its last three seasons. “You love when someone works really hard, people tell them they can’t do something and they accomplish it,” Benedetto said. “It’s one of the best feelings in the world. I think the momentum is like, ‘hey, we’ve worked hard, and we’ve already gotten something out of it.’”
