A Place In The Sun's Jonnie Irwin accuses show of 'axing' him after cancer diagnosis
A Place In The Sun star Jonnie Irwin claims he was axed from the popular show in light of his lung cancer diagnosis.
Jonnie was initially given six months to live, but has outlived doctor’s predictions with the help of medication, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. “As soon as I told A Place In The Sun about my diagnosis they paid me for the rest of the season but didn’t renew my contract. They knew I wanted to carry on.OK! have contacted Channel 4 for comment.
“Overwhelmed by your kind messages, not had the chance to read them all yet but I assure you I will,” he penned on Instagram.
