Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies respond to a shooting at an Aldine-area Jack in the Box on April 21, 2022.A fast-food worker was shot in the hand outside of an Aldine-area Jack in the Box Thursday night after an altercation over ranch sauce, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The worker was shot about 10:25 p.m. at a Jack in the Box at 3709 Aldine Mail Route Road near Fern Meadow Lane, authorities said. Witnesses told authorities a man inside a vehicle began arguing with drive-thru employees after being told he would be charged more for extra buttermilk ranch, HCSO added.After the customer pulled his car past the drive-thru, a Jack in the Box employee who was off the clock and waiting for his ride also began arguing with him, according to authorities.
The employee tried to get away by crossing the street but the customer followed him before shooting him, HCSO said. A warrant is expected to be issued for the driver.
