Following the cancellation of the Amazon series A League of Their Own last week, series star Abbi Jacobson took to social media to discuss it
Jacobson reflects on getting to work on the series
In a recent post to her Instagram, Jacobson shared a photo of herself in her character Carson Shaw’s uniform, while on the field. In the caption for the photo, Jacobson said to blame the cancellation of the series on the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes was “cowardly,” but that she wouldn’t be spending the post arguing about that.
Instead, the rest of the caption saw Jacobson reflect on “the special show” that she said she was lucky to get to make. Jacobson went on to praise the “many incredibly talented artists and actors and writers and crew,” and said she was “so proud” of the show. “This post here is about the special show I was lucky to make with so many incredibly talented artists and actors and writers and crew,” reads Jacobson’s caption. “A show I’m so proud of. Filled to the brim with stories worth telling. Full of so much heart and soul and value. Thank you for watching.”
