Detailed maps of the stars in our galaxy have found a ripple of star forming regions near the Sun.
Modern precision astronomy is amazing. Last year ESA’s Gaia mission data was used to look at the Milky Way star stream ribbons from such satellites that are under tidal breakup and destined for assimilation. The GD-1 star stream showed a hole and a sinusoidal kink centered on that which relative star velocities was tentatively explained by a passing through dark matter blob of some 100,000 solar masses IIRC.
And coincidentally the AAS meeting also has a release of dark matter observation from a handful of galaxy gravity lenses that allow that. The best fit is to cold dark matter blobs from planet mass and up to a total of some 1 – 1,000 million solar masses.
