While it shares its name with Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which is operated by the federal government, Golden Gate Park is a city park. Visitors to the park will not see any effects of the shutdown.In the 2018-19 shutdown, all sites in the Fisherman’s Wharf park closed, including the Maritime Museum and the park’s historic ships.
Ultimately, the exact effects of the shutdown will depend on the duration and scale of the disagreement.
