Gambini has assembled a quartet of capable actors for this succinct work, a fable about love and intolerance by Brazilian writer Newton Moreno. But the production achieves its lyrical intensity through factors that complement the performances: artful stylized movement, light and shadows, and an overall seamlessness that reflects the director’s well-gauged calibrations.
