Amy Schneider's streak is so outlandish the other contestants thought it couldn't be real.

When"Jeopardy!" contestant Terry Wolfisch Cole stepped up for the rehearsal round of her taping in Nov. 2021, she had no idea what she was up against., who currently has a 24-game winning streak and $977,400 in total earnings, had aired yet. So when the announcer introduced Schneider to Cole and fellow contestant Geoff Hoppe, Cole thought the incredible accolades couldn't possibly be true.

"We thought they were joking," Cole told SFGATE."[Former champion] Matt Amodio's last episode aired between the time my cohort got the call and the time we went to the taping. So we thought we had really dodged a bullet... We didn't yet know there was a champion among us, for all we knew, we thought we were all just new contestants. And then they did the first rehearsal round, and she burned through it like a flamethrower.

Cole, who lives in Connecticut, had nothing but good things to say about the experience. A Moth GrandSLAM champion, she runs a storytelling company called , in which she hosts workshops, coaches and speakers and holds open mic events. She plans to craft a story based on her short tenure on the show for her next live performance in February.
