Edward Druzolowski, 78, reportedly told the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office that he confronted Brian Ford, 42, and warned him that he would shoot him if he didn’t get off of his property.
DeLEON SPRINGS, Florida — A 78-year-old homeowner upset over a neighbor’s son trimming trees along a fence bordering his property shot and killed the man, authorities say.
Edward Druzolowski told the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office that he confronted Brian Ford, 42, and warned him that he would shoot him if he didn’t get off of his property, the sheriff’s office says in a news release. Druzolowski said that when Ford continued to trim trees along the property line, he shot him, authorities say.Druzolowski is being held in the Volusia County Branch Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
The shooting reportedly occurred at about 7:13 p.m. Sunday. Deputies who arrived on the scene tried to save Ford but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
