Jokić is his own story and because he is so big and so good and so versatile, the Heat are tied in knots trying to figure out how to simply slow him down. “I could tell speaking to him yesterday, being around him the last 48 hours, that he was putting a lot of Game 2 on him,” Denver coach Michael Malone said.
“Most people that have watched the Nuggets play, when I have a game like that, I’m most likely going to bounce back. Just one of those days.” For as great as Jokić is, and has been, the Nuggets don’t morph into what they looked like Wednesday unless Murray is healthy and playing like this. Because he is so versatile, Jokić doesn’t have bad games , whereas Murray, primarily a jumpshooter, can occasionally go cold.
