Artisan makers might shiver at the thought, but she isn’t afraid to go against the grain. “We have a very different vision to most artisanal makers,” she says. “Theirs is to create quality loaves using traditional methods which will always be niche products.
So, £22 might be a little excessive? “If you’re hitting the above parameters you’ve likely got yourself a great bread and don’t need to worry too much about the rest,” says Dr Leeming. To put it simply – use your loaf when making a choice.
