Ahsoka is changing Star Wars forever.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Ahsoka has retconned the Star Wars canon and the galaxy’s history in several ways. Unlike The Mandalorian or The Book of Boba Fett, both of which told relatively self-contained stories about their titular characters, Ahsoka has been an epic-scale adventure. The first three Ahsoka episodes have featured fallen Jedi, an Inquisitor, a Nightsister, and several established Star Wars characters.
Ahsoka episode 3 also established that intergalactic travel works the same way as a regular hyperspace jump, except that it requires far more “hyperdrive power.” Lady Morgan’s Eye of Sion is much bigger than anything Huyang or Ahsoka had ever seen, yet its design is not that different from a regular hyperspace ring. If the only thing that separates the average hyperspace jump from intergalactic travel is the amount of equipment necessary, it makes sense that Purrgil can do both things.
Presumably, Tarre Vizsla was indeed the first Mandalorian Jedi. Still, Huyang’s line confirms that there were at least a couple of other Mandalorians who became Jedi. While this is a significant Star Wars retcon, it makes sense that Tarre was not the only Mandalorian to join the Jedi Order. Jedi and Mandalorians were not always at odds with each other, and anyone in the galaxy could be Force-sensitive.
