Hold this for 30 seconds and repeat four times on each hand.
If you think you’re developing carpal tunnel, it’s best to skip wrist-bending exercises and instead try to rest your wrist in as neutral a position as possible whenever you can, to avoid compressing the median nerve, which is what causes carpal tunnel in the first place, says Dr. Ruiz. If you have significant, chronic pain or numbness, you should also make an appointment with your primary care doctor, who can refer you to a neurologist or orthopedic hand specialist if necessary.
