A tsunami warning was issued early Sunday for parts of coastal Alaska after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck the area.
ABCNewsThe quake prompted the National Weather Service to issue a tsunami warning early Sunday, saying there was a risk of "significant inundation," an alert that was downgraded to an advisory shortly afterward.
"If you are located in this coastal area, move off the beach and out of harbors and marinas," officials at the National Tsunami Warning Center said in theThe earlier tsunami warning had listed times when waves were expected to hit the shore "from Chignik Bay to Unimak Pass."on Twitter in announcing the earlier warning.
