A 53-year-old man was killed Thursday during a reported armed confrontation with the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on Friday identified the slain man as Andrew Massey. He lived in Hartford.
The fatal shooting is being investigated by the State Bureau of Investigation. ALEA did not release any details surrounding the shooting.that deputies responded to a home on County Road 45 outside of Hartford Thursday afternoon after receiving reports of a naked man – later identified as Massey - shooting out windows in his father’s home.Massey was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No deputies were injured.
