Haley was the first female Governor of South Carolina Haley served as the governor of South Carolina from 2010 to 2017, winning two general elections. Prior to winning her gubernatorial elections, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 87 in Lexington County.

“I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it,” she said in 2021, but she seems to have reversed course on that decision.
