An ANC election billboard in Port Elizabeth recently had social media users begging for a proofreader and the ruling party has since fixed its error, but there are still some outdoor adverts the ANC could learn from.
how an ANC election billboard in Port Elizabeth had social media users begging for a proofreader.
YouTuber and DA councillor Renaldo Gouws on Monday evening spotted a glaring error on one of the ANC's election billboards in the coastal city. Instead of the usual face of Cyril Ramaphosa accompanying the"Let's grow South Africa together" election campaign slogan, the billboard read"Let's grow South Africa togher"., with the ANC even going so far as to criticise the opposition for pouncing on the comical error.
The ANC has described the spelling mistake as mere"human error" on the part of one of its service providers. The error will not"derail" the party and the immediate removal of the billboard will"kill the campaign of the opposition", the party's regional task team said on Tuesday.
