66 Capital Projects Fund grants were awarded to 16 internet service providers to bring high-speed internet to portions of 48 counties in Alabama. These expansion projects, known as the “last mile” projects, will create more than 5,000 miles of broadband infrastructure that will be able to support almost 54,000 households, businesses and institutions.
