Images show the cats huddled together underneath the bed where they lived for months.
On Wednesday, humane society police officers seized the animals and charged the owner with animal cruelty.Officials have not yet released the man's identity.
The Bucks County SPCA is sheltering the animals between their New Hope and Quakertown locations until they're ready for adoption. "First order of business is making sure everyone is healthy and is treated for any of their medical needs," said Kelly. The 36 animals need to get spayed and neutered and then should be available for adoption in two to three weeks.
