Last summer, Lexie Krakowski won first prize and the grand award at the FCMF National Music Festival — "an incredible opportunity," she says — and as a result, she'll play Dvorak's Cello Concerto with Symphony New Brunswick in April 2023, marking her first visit to Canada's East Coast.
This summer, when she's not reading romance novels , Krakowski is dividing her time between the chamber music intensive at Domaine Forget in Quebec and the Meadowmount School of Music in Westport, N.Y. We suspect her dream of performing Brahms' Double Concerto is destined to become reality before long.
