A three-year-old girl died after she, her six-year-old sister and their 66-year-old grandfather were struck by a tram in Hong Kong’s western district on Aug 15.
The trio and a foreign domestic helper were hit at about 10.45am while crossing a road outside Kennedy Town Swimming Pool, Hong Kong Free Press reported. The toddler and her grandfather were trapped underneath the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency personnel, according to Hong Kong media.The toddler suffered multiple injuries and was unconscious when first responders arrived. The man had multiple injuries and the older girl was bleeding from her head, but both were conscious.The police did not say whether the helper had been hit by the tram, but added that she had complained of pain in her waist, the South China Morning Post reported.
