A trio of friends visiting Mexico City were found dead in their Airbnb, officials and their families confirmed.
The group had traveled to Mexico City for Día de los Muertos, a holiday celebrated throughout the country on Nov. 1 and 2, their relatives said.
When authorities arrived at the residence, Florence, Marshall and Hall were dead, WAVY reported. An official cause of death is still under investigation, according to NBC News. "It’s just very disheartening that we’ve had to piece together, as to the demise of our son, based on social media reports, based on investigative journalists, but this is where we are at this point," she said.
She added that as a parent, she worried about him traveling, but he usually traveled with groups of friends and she would tell him to stay together and stay vigilant.
