Does Cleveland get its proper due? There are endless arguments about that, but we all know there are hidden gems and uniquely local things that make the city stand out but that some might take for granted. The pizza in Cleveland is by far the best I've ever had, and that's not just a biased point of view.
There are a lot of places in the greater Cleveland area that offer really crap pizza, but the joints downtown, do it better than NYC, Chicagoland and LA.What is Chicago pizza? It's a fucking casserole.Cleveland pizza is subtle, and delicious. Truly home grown by our Italian and Balkan immigrants. Just outside of the Browns, I'd sooner die on this hill, of our pizza supremacy.
