The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified her as Kristen Shae Gray. She was 27 and lived in Pell City.

Gray was a Leeds Police Department inmate being housed at the Trussville City Jail, said Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates. Jail staff performing a routine cell check found the woman unresponsive at 11:15 p.m. Sunday. She was pronounced dead at the jail at 11:28 p.m.Trussville police Lt.
