Authorities have seized an unlicensed firearm as well as electronic devices in an ongoing investigation into leaked matric results.
21-year-old arrested in connection with matric results leakA 21-year-old man was arrested on Thursday morning in connection with the leaking of matric results.
The 21-year-old was detained at his premises, where authorities seized various electronic devices and an unlicensed shotgun along with ammunition.USAf, the organisation representing South Africa’s 26 public universities, is tasked with providing matric results to universities. The DBE confirmed the authenticity of these results. It was suggested the breach occurred at one of the universities within USAf’s network.
