Afterwards, one visitor from ’Bama coach Nick Saban’s backyard decided he’d like to spend his college years in burnt orange. Lacey is the first player pledged to Texas’ 2025 class, though he’s far from the first blue-chip quarterback Sarkisian has landed since arriving in 2021. Lacey has plenty of time to change his mind, but if his commitment holds he could be leading Texas into SEC games later this decade.
