A recent patent filing indicates that Ford is gearing up to introduce a successor to its underwhelming EcoSport crossover, and we've got the inside scoop on it
Ford's new subcompact SUV emerges through leaked patents, aimed at regaining a foothold in India, South America and other developing markets. While maintaining affordability, the new small SUV is anticipated to deliver substantial interior enhancements compared to the EcoSport. Borrows styling cues from recent Ford offerings in both America and China, featuring a bold grille and stacked LED DRLs.
A Nicer Outlook The original EcoSport was notable for its crude cabin plastics and iffy switchgear; it was so substandard that you could see blobs of excess plastic sticking out of the dashboard along where the injection mould seams would have been. Fortunately, significant improvements are expected in the cabin, promising a more refined look and feel.
