Bafana missed out on the last edition which took place earlier this year in Cameroon, whereas the Atas Lions only made it to the quarter-finals.

Zimbabwe have been banned by FIFA for government interference and have been ousted from this qualifying group which now consists of just three teams with two qualifying slots up for grabs. Bafana’s last match ended in a 5-0 loss to the World champions France in Nice in an international friendly in March, and they have only won two of their last five matches.

Morocco have also won just two of their recent five clashes and also lost their last match to the United States in last week’s friendly. The Atlas Lions will fancy their chances against Bafana after winning the last match between the two 1-0 in the 2019 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
