2 injured in Tompkins Square Park shooting: NYPD
Two people were injured after a shooting in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village on Saturday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
Police said they received a 911 call at around 12:45 p.m. saying that multiple people had been shot at the park. They arrived to find a 26-year-old man who’d been shot in the buttocks and a 53-year-old woman who'd been shot in the hip.Police are still investigating and have not yet made any arrests.Officials say the Manhattan St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday and the NYC Half Marathon on Sunday will affect street traffic.
