2 dead, 2 injured after mobile homes catch fire in northwest Harris County
Two people were killed and at least two others were injured late Monday when several mobile homes caught fire in northeast Harris County, officials said.
Firefighters around 11:45 p.m. responded to a fire in the 8800 block of Furray Avenue, Brandi Dumas, spokesperson for the county fire marshal’s office, told On Scene reporters. They found three trailers aflame.Emergency responders battled the blaze and eventually discovered two people were dead on the properties, she said. Investigators hadn’t yet determined their ages as of early Tuesday.
Two other people escaped the fire and were taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
