The man is facing murder and weapons-related offenses.
Daijohn Spaulding was shot at about 2:40 p.m. on the 1400 block of Collings Road on Sunday, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. Spaulding, of Camden, was brought to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 20 minutes later, authorities said.
Nykwan Taylor was later identified as a suspect and charged Thursday with murder and weapons-related offenses, the office said. He turned himself in to police on Friday and was taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility. The shooting remained under investigation and anyone with information was asked to contact Detective Jeremy Jankowski of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit at 397-3485 and Detective Vincent Russomanno of the Camden County Police Department at 941-9517.
