Seventeen people were arrested in Blackheath, Cape Town on public violence charges in the Happy Valley area, after a thousand people had taken to the streets to protest against poor service delivery.
"Public order police and law enforcement agencies are monitoring the protest that is underway in Happy Valley where a group of 1 000 people are participating in a service delivery protest," police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said.N2 closed due to service delivery protest in Botrivier area
