Thumper includes two main special weapons—the ultra flamethrower and supersonic shockwave. These could provide interesting visuals for Twisted Metal season 2.

At the start of the Twisted Metal games, he is a demonic creature, ideal if the series goes in a supernatural direction. If not, Mr. Ash is relatively mysterious without an established backstory throughout most of the games. This would provide Twisted Metal season 2 with a blank slate to work off of.
