It is believed that around 100 members of 40 Days for Life stood outside the maternity unit of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Sunday as they closed in on the end of the campaign.
A group of anti-abortion protestors outside a Glasgow hospital have been accused of harassing women after gathering for the last day of their controversial campaign.
It comes after the Safe Access Zones Bill completed stage one of its evidence hearing at the Scottish Parliament last week. If passed, the law - which has already been introduced in Northern Ireland - would create 200m safe 'buffer zones' outside 30 hospitals and clinics providing abortion services across Scotland. The Scottish Greens representative said: "The shocking scenes outside QEUH underline exactly why buffer zones are so necessary.
A spokesperson said: "Anti-abortion groups know that they have limited time left to stage protests like this. The scale of yesterday’s demonstration shows that the problem isn’t going away - so we need buffer zones to protect patients.
