Major changes have happened to Rebels characters.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Ahsoka’s first two episodes brought audiences back to a lot of familiar settings and characters from Star Wars Rebels, but some things have changed in the transition from animation to live-action. The Ahsoka Disney+ TV show as a whole has so far done a great job having new actors embody these characters, though some concessions had to have been made so audiences unfamiliar with Rebels could still follow along and enjoy the show.
Ahsoka's Chopper Is Easier To Understand Chopper has always been voiced by Lucasfilm's Dave Filoni, though his voice was obscured in Star Wars Rebels, meaning other characters in a given scene often had to clue the audience in on what he's said. This isn't the case in Ahsoka, however, as seen in a fun back-and-forth with Hera in episode 2. While Dave Filoni’s voice is still distorted, it’s much easier to pick up words.
The Main Rebels Are No Longer Referred To By Their Spectre Numbers The main six characters in Rebels all went by code names throughout the series, with Hera Syndulla called Spectre-2 and Sabine Wren Spectre-5. Only half of the Ghost crew have appeared in Ahsoka to date, but none have gone by these references. In fact, Ahsoka episode 2 revealed the Spectre codename has been taken on by Lothal's defenders, with a New Republic agent called Spectre-21.
Sabine Isn't As Proficient With A Lightsaber As In Rebels Sabine may have had some trouble with the Darksaber at first, but she became quite proficient with it. Unfortunately, Sabine hasn't kept up with her training; her defeat at the end of Ahsoka episode 1 shows she isn't as good with a lightsaber as she used to be.
