Powell Street Festival
The thunderous beat of Taiko drums will echo across the Downtown Eastside this weekend when the 46th annual Powell Street Festival gets underway. The festival celebrates Japanese-Canadian culture in historic Paueru Gai, or the old Japantown around Powell Street.
