Houston St. $45-$75,Will Ferrell’s contemporary holiday classic tells the story of Buddy the Elf, a human who winds up in the care of Santa and the elves of the North Pole after a Christmas mixup. 7:30 p.m. Friday, River Walk Plaza, Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, 100 Auditorium Circle. Free,Ruby City and KRTU-FM present a night of jazz with a performance by Johnny P. and the Wiseguys. The Desert Door Sotol and R+R Collective will be providing drinks.The Children's Ballet of San Antonio presents its annual staging of the ballet, a 90-minute rendering aimed at youngsters and starring young dancers.
