Rick and Morty needs to revisit these stories.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Rick and Morty season 7 is soon to arrive, and there are a lot of things that need to happen in the season in order to properly wrap up stories. The hit show, which has been renewed up until season 10, will be airing its first season since the departure of showrunner Justin Roiland. Roiland was arrested in January 2023 for felony domestic battery and false imprisonment.
Jerry's unemployment has been a constant strain on his marriage to Beth, and he is often perceived, especially by Rick, as a weak man with no prospects. It can often get grating with the same things happening to a character, so maybe it's about time Jerry got a job. Season 6 saw Jerry stand up to Rick more and be assertive, and it would be good character development to see him finally hold down a job, without it being ruined by Rick.
It's then revealed that Rick then paid for the machine to stay on, keeping the Marta-Morty part alive. That means there's a part of Morty still living in a video game, while at the same time she has her own character with a backstory and a personal relationship with Rick. Marta worked closely with Rick for years, building up the world slowly after they agreed to leave together.
It would be very in character for Beth to find true love and sexual gratification with herself, but with the two being the same person, the two could be a ticking time bomb. Jerry has also been known to be insecure, and perhaps being married to two Beths could be too much strain. There is also the possibility that Space Beth may want to return to Earth and her family, and maybe her relationship with Beth has more intention than it may seem.
He was last seen at the end of season 6, he talks about getting divorced and ends up breaking both his legs. What happens to Mr Poopybutthole next is to be found out, but we could see him spiral, or make a full recovery and turn his life around. Seeing as he was previously a professor, he could be able to revive his career or join the Smiths on more adventures.
