Environment Canada issues winter weather travel advisory for Sault Ste. Marie; visibility will be reduced due to snow and blowing snow
Visibility will be reduced due to snow and local blowing snow.The full weather alert issued by Environment Canada follows below: Snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm. Peak snowfall rates of 1 to 3 cm per hour.Southeasterly wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h. The strongest winds are expected near to the shores of Lake Huron, Georgian Bay and the North Channel.Snow is expected Thursday morning through Thursday evening. Snow will taper to flurries or drizzle Thursday evening.
