Ahsoka episodes 1 and 2's best moments leave plenty of reasons to be excited about the rest of the season, while the worst moments give some cause for concern. Directed, written, and created by Dave Filoni, known for his work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka's first two episodes have much of the same vibrant charm as Filoni's previous work.
14 Best: "We Are No Jedi" Ray Stevenson's Baylan Skoll is a perfect foil for Ahsoka, highlighted by his confirmation that "we are no Jedi." Ahsoka said this exact line to Darth Vader in the Star Wars Rebels season 2 finale, establishing a commonality between her and Baylan before their eventual showdown.
11 Worst: Sabine Taking The Map Off The Ship The first noticeably dumb moment in Ahsoka episode 1 "Part One: Master and Apprentice" is Sabine's decision to take the map off the ship. Rather than heeding Ahsoka's reasonable advice, Sabine risks the map's safety by traveling all the way back to the communications tower, wasting time in the process. Shin Hati would likely have acquired the map no matter what, but now its loss is clearly Sabine's fault.
7 Best: "For Our Friend, Ray" Baylan Skoll was one of Ray Stevenson's last roles before he passed away, and the crew honored him by dedicating Ahsoka episode 1 to his memory. It was a short yet effective moment that paid tribute to a fantastic actor, both in and out of Star Wars,
