From foodie-events to funky festivals, here's a round-up of what August has to offer
August is here, which means the kids are off school, good weather is upon us and there's a holiday spirit in the air. Even if you've not got time booked off work, there's still the bank holiday weekend to look forward to at the end of the month.
The line-up for this year’s Gay Village Party includes Rita Ora, the Sugababes and Jessie J. Festival-goers can also expect performances from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars Bimini,Black Peppa and Danny Beard, among many others. Tickets are £5 per day for adults while children under 15 go free. The exhibition opened on August 2 and will run until November 3. Tickets start from £13 for kids aged 3-15 and £25 for adults, but prices can vary depending on dates and times. Tickets are available here. Dine at Caravan One of Manchester’s most hotly-anticipated restaurants opens this month in the up-and-coming St John’s neighbourhood. London based restaurant group Caravan has chosen Manchester as the location for its first site in the North of England.
