HOUSTON, Texas -- One person has been detained after an hourslong SWAT scene outside a home in the River Oaks area.

At about 10 a.m. Thursday, a SWAT team and officers tried to execute a search warrant at a home in the 3800 block of Del Monte, police said in a tweet. About 10 a.m., our SWAT team & officers attempted to execute a search warrant at a residence in the 3800 block of Del Monte in west Houston. Shortly before 3 p.m., an individual inside the home was detained by our officers without further incident. 1/2
